The utterly beautiful Artera Solus is the new multi-tasking HI-Fi System from Quad. With a CD transport, Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC), pre-amplifier, and power amplifier all in one box, this stunning unit is everything any audiophile could want. And, with the inclusion of Bluetooth technology, connectivity is even easier and allows for access to all of your music no matter what device it is stored on, or stream from your favourite streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify etc... all wirelssly via the Bluetooth connection. 

Combining all of the qualities that Quad have built their name on as one of Britain’s leading hi-fi manufacturers upon, the Artera Solus delivers high quality audio reproduction and looks stunning whilst doing so. A textured aluminium front panel, thick glass on the top of the unit, and CNC-routed heat sinks on either side, this Hi-Fi system will fit seamlessly within any home décor. The Artera Solus’s housing helps to provide the unit with a rugged structure in order to resist any interference from external vibrations. The facia of the player also incorporates an intuitive touch-sensitive control, allowing for easy navigation of the system without the need for obtrusive buttons that would otherwise diminish the overall look of the unit.

Delivering astonishing results, the Artera Solus features the renowned ESS Sabre32 9018 – a 32-bit, 8 channel hybrid multi-bit Delta-Sigma Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC) – which is considered to be one of the best Digital to Analogue chips available for stereo sound in today’s market.  The Artera Solus is actually the first in the series to feature this ESS Sabre DAC, allowing external digital sources to benefit via a range of digital inputs, including: USB, PCM data support up to 32-bit/384kHz, and DSD64/128/256. This will ensure that the Artera Solus is fully equipped and able to produce the absolute best when it comes to today’s current high-resolution music formats. The Quad Artera Solus is also open to future advances in UHD (Ultra High-Definition) digital sound.

The Quad Artera Solus’s slot-loading CD mechanism allows data to buffer from the disc before it is fed asynchronously to the DAC section – this process allows the unit to minimise time domain errors, or ‘jitter’. The unit features four digital filter options to enable user to tailor the Solus with both CDs and external digital sources in order to match your personal taste and the nature of the source material.

Two coaxial and two optical inputs cater to external digital sources alongside the USB input, a pair of RCA phono inputs handles analogue sources, and the unit itself is fitted with a balanced class A output stage. Analogue outputs have been supplied in both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR varieties, and a pair of digital outputs and a 12v trigger outputs come together to create a comprehensive range of connectivity options.
