The Waversa wStreamer is a multi purpose ROON endpoint and streamer. It also acts as a USB convertor. The wStreamer is the perfect upgrade for anyone already owning a high quality D/A convertor who wishes for the convenience of streaming. By adding this to your system it enables you to access streaming protocols from ROON, Airplay, DLNA and also Waversa’s proprietary WNDR.The streamer had been machined from duralumin in order to prevent unnecessary vibrations from the unit.

Based on custom code created by Waversa Systems themselves, the wStreamer provides one of the most accurate ways of transferring the digital 0’s and 1’s to your DAC. This benefits the system in musicality and detail retrieval.

To further upgrade your wStreamer you can include an additional wLPS linear power supply which again adds to the performance of the wStreamer by lowering the noise floor.

If you have a SONOS system in your HiFi or maybe something such as Bluesound or Aries Mini or even the ZEN Mini Mk3 then the wStreamer would be worth while taking a look at as a wise upgrade path.

The Pre Box S2 Digital is an ultra-modern DAC, pre-amplifier and headphone amplifier, engineered inside a compact, beautifully made chassis; representing luxury high-end audio performance at an astonishing price. Entering the market as the first product of the S2 Line from Box Design by Pro-Ject Audio Systems, the Pre Box S2 Digital is designed to accomodate even the most demanding digital audio enthusiasts.

Built around the high-end ESS Sabre ESS9038Pro DAC chip, the Pre Box S2 Digital is capable of converting Hi-Res Audio signals up-to 32-bit / 768kHz PCM or DSD512 (DoP) via its Type-B USB port. The DAC has also been configured to unfold the very latest MQA audio files and is certified Roon Ready. Via the additional Coaxial and Optical inputs, the DAC chip is configured to handle up-to 24-bit / 192kHz data from external digital transports. Where the Pre Box S2 Digital enters a league of its own is in the advanced technologies that have been applied to achieve a near-perfect technical performance.

Pro-Ject's proprietary Optimum Transient Digital Filter and complimentary clock circuitry design allows the Pre Box S2 Digital to manage jitter down as low as 100 Femtoseconds, ensuring the tightest and most capable audio performance possible. The sound can then be tailored to suit any listener's preference thanks to the seven built-in digital filters

The internal layout of the Pre Box S2 Digital is reminiscent of far more expensive designs. Through the clever use of polymer capacitors and thin-film miniMELF resistors it was possible to fit all this technology into such a small chassis. Elsewhere, industry-first innovations in the dual-regulator architecture makes sure the sound performance does justice to the true high-end formats you can play through the DAC. 

Operation of the Pre Box S2 Digital is simple. Through the built-in operating system, or using the optional remote control, it's possible to change filters, attenuate volume and have basic transport controls over music played via USB (Ply/Pause, Forward/Rewind).

On the other hand, USB hook-up means the S2 is still a portable option for laptop users, and it doesn’t need a battery.
